As a chemist and teacher, I have long held an interest in materials and the science manipulating them. My metal work thrives on the exploration of techniques that add volume and surface techniques to my pieces. I am not a production artist, my pieces tend to be original creations that combine my metalsmithing skills of repousse and chasing, enameling, and fabrication. Many are nature inspired, with botanical and whimsical features developed through my love of being outdoors… gardening, rowing on the river, or hiking through the woods with my pup, Ginger Walnut.
